Job Description

Temporary (Maternity Cover) - Potential to Become Permanent

Overview

Due to maternity cover requirements, an opportunity has arisen for a Service Planner to support the coordination and scheduling of field engineers. This position may transition into a permanent role as workload continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan forthcoming service schedules to ensure engineers are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers via phone and email.
  • Coordinate weekly and daily schedules for field engineers.
  • Work closely with the Service Administration Manager.
  • Contact customers to confirm appointments and rearrange when necessary.
  • Manage and update service planning software.
  • Collaborate with the wider service team-administration, stores and sales-to ensure engineer workloads are well organised.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks as required within the service department.

Person Specification

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to analyse information and plan schedules effectively.
  • Confident problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (essential).
  • A professional and proactive approach to customer communication.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Previous administrative or scheduling experience.
  • Familiarity with data entry and general office tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a busy workload.
