SalarySalary: £41,556.10Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 over 7Applications are invited for the post of OCC controllers to work in the Manchester and Merseyside Operating Area, based at St Helens Depot.With over 2000 colleagues spread across six sites, Stagecoach Manchester and Merseyside is one of the country's biggest bus operators. We are recruiting Service Controllers to join the team, to help us as we expand our business due to the successful award of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority contra cts based in St Helens DepotThis a permanent position that will work under the Operations ManagerWe're looking for proactive individuals to support day-to-day bus service operations, ensuring that the company's routes are operating to meet, and, where possible exceed the standards specifiedKey Duties:Ensure that bus services are supervised and controlled using AVL / Greenroad / PTT Radio Sy s tem to meet the prevailing circumstances .Support the Depot Operating and Engineering Managers in maintaining the Health and Safety in the workplace of all staff and visitors. In conjunction with others, to ensure that prescribed security measures are adhered to .Monitor and regulate services working with the Roadside controllers, Desk Supervisors and Task Team to ensure efficient and effective working.Respond to incidents and disruptions .To liaise with the Operations & Engineering TeamRecord mileage variationsM aintain records .Support Driver out in serviceAbout You:Experience in a fast-paced role (transport desirable)Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skillsAble to work under pressureGood IT skills and attention to detailFlexible to operate 24 hours per day; seven days per week and must be flexible and willing to change working patterns at short noticeAn understanding of the relevant legislation including Health and Safety, Driving Hours Regulation and Working Time Directive and their practiceAn understanding of Stagecoach Group policies and proceduresStagecoach workplace culture is one where everyone can be themselves and where all the differences our people bring to the business are celebrated.
