We're working with a major player in the European space sector, supporting two high-profile space missions launching in the next 2 years. They are seeking an experienced GNSS Software Engineer to join on a long-term freelance basis and help drive forward their navigation systems. You would be lead over team members in developing Real Time software application for Embedded systems as well as verification and validation procedures for a GNSS receiver. This role focuses on advanced GNSS receiver software, particularly within space hierarchy receiver architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate GNSS software for space-based receivers.
• Implement and optimize navigation algorithms on SoC platforms
• Provide domain-level guidance to software teams and support junior engineers.
• Ensure system readiness for upcoming flight missions.
• Focus on receiver behaviour and performance in orbit.

Profile:

• Expert in GNSS software and space navigation systems.
• Hands-on experience with flight-ready GNSS solutions.
• Strong background in GNSS algorithm implementation.
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience is highly valued.
