Our studios are among the foremost motion picture and television production and post production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, covering soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping, and much more.
Your New RoleSenior Wireless Network Engineer
As a Senior Wireless Network Engineer, you will deliver robust and optimised wireless connectivity across our production environments-supporting Leavesden and Burbank studios and additional remote sites worldwide. You'll work closely with studio operations, creative teams, and technical staff to ensure secure, seamless, high performance wireless networking that supports live shoots, post production activities, and collaborative workflows.
Your Role Accountabilities- Support all WBD wireless network infrastructure 24/7 by responding to and resolving requests and tickets within the stipulated SLA time.
- Diagnose the root cause of wireless network outages and implement remediation steps to prevent recurrence.
- Prioritise work based on business criticality and remain flexible to ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Adhere to the team's network standards and procedures both technically and functionally.
- Maintain positive relationships with user communities, peers, and management.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, information systems, or a related field.
- Solid experience in enterprise wireless network administration, ideally within a studio, broadcast, or creative production environment.
- Expertise in wireless technologies (Wi Fi), especially Aruba AirWave, ArubaOS, Aruba Mobility Controllers, and Aruba Instant Access Points.
- Experience with Aruba ClearPass, DNS, DHCP, and Radius.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, spectrum analysis, and wireless security protocols.
- Familiarity with production workflows, including high volume data transfers and real time collaboration.
- Process driven with excellent execution and follow through.
- Ability to multitask and self prioritise in a fast paced, creative setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, working effectively with both technical and non technical staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak production periods.
- Self motivated team player with a drive to improve studio infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Travel required.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a hybrid work model that combines remote and in office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your line manager.
