Senior Waste Water Engineer

My client, a specialist UK-based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their new Design Team in Peterborough. You can work on a hybrid basis.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy on water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Candidates should have experience completing calculations and detailed designs for Drainage Systems, Pumping Stations, CSO, shafts and tanks, pressure pipes, SuDS, water retaining structures, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

Applicants must also have experience using Revit, Civils 3D, and Infodrainage for detailed design.

You will join an experienced team working directly with the Client to specialise in wastewater non-infrastructure design for Water Companies and Consultancies. The role requires working from a local office three days a week and includes responsibilities such as:

• Water and Waste Water Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure Projects
• Detailed Civil Engineering Design, including Pumping Stations, Water and Waste Water Treatment Works, and Water Retaining Structures
• Design of Pipelines, Pressure Pipes, and Combined Sewer Overflows using Civils 3D and Infodrainage
• Shaft and tank design
• Calculations and Reports
• Mentoring Junior Team Members
• Retrofitting SUDS and drainage solutions to remote surface water from existing networks
• Frequent liaison with Local Authorities, Consultancies, and Water Companies
