Client Operations Manager - Global Collateral Operations

Location: Manchester, UK.

What you will do
  • Client delivery excellence - ensure high quality, timely, and consistent service delivery that meets client needs and strengthens trust.
  • People leadership and team development - build an engaged, high performing team through coaching, talent development, feedback, and succession planning.
  • Operational effectiveness - drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across processes, controls, and workflows.
  • Risk and control oversight - maintain a strong control environment, promote accountability, and ensure adherence to regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Strategic execution - translate business priorities into clear team objectives, plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Cross functional collaboration - partner effectively across functions, regions, and stakeholders to solve problems and deliver shared goals.
  • Change leadership - lead teams through transformation, innovation, and evolving business needs with clarity and resilience.
  • Culture and inclusion - foster an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative environment aligned with BNY's principles and values.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive work experience preferred.
  • Strong AI and digital tools capability; light coding experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of collateral management processes, including margining, dispute resolution, settlements, substitutions, and exposure monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, market infrastructure, and the operational lifecycle supporting collateral activity.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and build a high performing, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Strong risk and control mindset, with experience ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining a robust operational environment.
  • Demonstrated client focus, with the ability to manage relationships, resolve escalations, and enhance service delivery.
  • Ability to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and change initiatives across a global model.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, and Client Services.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and influence outcomes.
