The Philips BReakthrough Innovation TEams (BRITE) are the embodiment of Philips' new approach to driving breakthrough innovation. The BRITE approach accelerates innovation by being the organizational sandbox to nurture nascent projects from the early innovation stage to the full ability to scale.
As the Senior Product Design Engineer, within the design team, you will be expected to represent the stakeholders and end-users when designing a product. Clear communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary, among other skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Understand user and business requirements and technical limitations
- Lead and report on Formative Evaluations
- Conduct user research and analysis and translating them into user flows and potential use errors
- Design solutions in line with accessibility and usability standards, brand guidelines, and our Design Language System (DLS)
- Apply human-centered design to understand user needs and translate these into UX requirements
- End-user usability testing
- Collaborate with users and functions to ensure solutions consider all user feedback
- Communicate design decisions effectively and manage stakeholder expectations
- Participate in Validations and Summative evaluations
- Follow up on the latest usability standards like ISO 62366-1
Minimum requirements:
- A Bachelor of UX, Interaction design, engineering, or related design field
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the design field
- Experience working within an R&D environment
- A strong ability to help visually simplify complex sets of data/situations
- Passionate about innovation
- Strong presentation, verbal and written skills in English
- Ability to lead and inspire teams through collaboration
- Figma experience
- A good understanding of development processes, medical or cloud-based processes a plus

- Diriger les évaluations formatives, y compris les tests d'utilisabilité
- Collaborer avec les utilisateurs et les parties prenantes pour s'assurer que les solutions tiennent compte des commentaires des utilisateurs
- Communiquer efficacement les décisions de conception et gérer les attentes des parties prenantes
- Participer aux validations et aux évaluations sommatives
- Assurer le suivi des dernières normes d'utilisabilité telles que la norme ISO 62366-1
Exigences minimales :
- License ou Master en UX, en ingénierie, en gestion de la interaction/conception/design, ou dans un domaine relatif
- 5+ ans d'expérience pertinente dans le domaine du design
- Une forte capacité à simplifier visuellement des ensembles complexes de données/situations
- Passionné(e) par l'innovation
- Solides compétences en présentation, expression orale et écrite en anglais
- Capacité à diriger des projets et à inspirer des équipes grâce à la collaboration
- Expérience avec Figma
- Une bonne compréhension des processus de développement, des processus médicale ou cloud un plus
