Senior Technical Training Manager

• Lead the organisation's technical training strategy across health and safety, engineering, marine, and plant operations
• Develop training programmes that build capability, support compliance, and reduce operational risk
• Oversee competency frameworks, assessments, and accreditation requirements across technical disciplines
• Drive learning technologies and innovative training solutions to improve engagement and effectiveness
• Ensure technical training meets regulatory, safety, and business standards, with strong governance and audit readiness
• Lead and develop a high-performing technical training team against strategic priorities and workforce needs
• Monitor performance, compliance, and competence data to drive continuous improvement and future capability development
• Build and deliver health and safety, safety-critical, and equipment-operation training across ABP's business

Requirements

• Proven track record of building and delivering technical and/or health and safety training in a complex, safety-critical or operational environment
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance and accreditation requirements for safety-critical and equipment-operation training
• Experience developing technical competency frameworks and assessing competence in technical functions
• Experience deploying learning technology and systems, such as LMS and digital learning, to support scalable training delivery
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills in a matrixed, technical organisation
• Proven track record of leading and growing a high-performing team
• Relevant health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH, and/or L&D / TAP / CIPD qualification (desirable)
• Successful candidates must consent to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment screening
• Successful candidates must undergo random substance-abuse screening and a pre-start medical
