We are looking for a Senior Technical Author to join our high-tech team in the eastern Netherlands. You will be part of the Customer Documentation Team, which consists of 15 Technical Authors, and you will develop documentation for advanced Radar and Command & Control Systems used in the maritime domain.
As a Senior Technical Author, you will:

Write and maintain technical user manuals, including Operator, Maintenance, and System Manuals.

Gather and analyze technical information from specifications and interviews with experts.

Test procedures directly on operational systems to ensure accuracy and usability.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.

Lead documentation projects independently from start to finish.

Work with documentation standards such as Simplified Technical English (STE) and S1000D (v3.0 or v4.1).

Structure documentation in XML and manage it using CSDB/CMS tools.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, IT, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Author or similar role.

Strong command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Experience with STE and S1000D is a strong advantage.

Familiarity with structured documentation (XML) and documentation tools such as CSDB/CMS.

Willing to work on-site in the eastern Netherlands.
