Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Manager - UK Corporate Tax to join us in Bradford or Leeds.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the relationship in relation to a portfolio of compliance customers.
  • Work with the UK Corporate Tax returns team to ensure the technical accuracy of positions taken in the UK tax returns of our customers.
  • Work with our customers to ensure that technical matters falling within the remit of our solutions delivery are fully understood and/or documented.
  • Work with the UK Corporate Tax team to ensure that tax technical matters are fully understood before provisioning activity commences at quarter and year ends.
  • Work with the UK Corporate Tax team to improve and automate processes to add value to our customers.
  • Assist with US GAAP quarterly provisioning activities for international customers.
  • Assist in the review of the Pillar 2 reporting for the UK and certain other jurisdictions requiring overall project support.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our customers and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery on KPIs.
  • Project manage specific tasks with strict deadlines and communicate relevant developments towards management in a timely fashion.
  • Opportunity to be involved in understanding and implementing complex transactions within a wider customer group.
  • Provide training on UK Tax technical topics to relevant teams/departments and contribute to overall awareness of the Tax team within Liberty Blume.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance or tax from an accredited college/university.
  • Career qualifications ACA and/or CTA (or equivalents).
  • 8+ years of experience in a Tax or Tax related role.
  • Good experience using financial systems such as SAP/Oracle and/or Hyperion.
  • Extensive experience interpreting and applying UK tax law and Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (ASC740 and IAS12 knowledge preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Practical experience considering and/or applying technology (e.g., AI) into processes and solutions.
  • Fluent in English.
