Role ObjectivesThe Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager leads the integrated management and strategic direction of warehouse and production operations. This role is fully accountable for proactive facility management, quality systems, and seamless execution of supply chain activities supporting EAP, PTA, Clinical Supply, and Named Patient Programs (NPP) across the region.
This manager fosters a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and strict regulatory compliance, ensuring facilities remain audit ready for health authority and customs inspections. The role drives operational efficiency and supports business growth.

- Ensure compliance with UK and EU GDP and GMP regulations and all applicable global regulatory requirements, including drug serialization and controlled drug handling.
- Oversee customs and trade compliance across all business transactions and jurisdictions.
- Maintain high Health and Safety standards, leading incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide integrated oversight of warehouse operations, logistics, and secondary packaging and labeling activities.
- Review and approve production schedules in alignment with business objectives and patient needs.
- Proactively maintain, validate, and oversee infrastructure, critical systems, and equipment.
- Serve as primary operational owner of the Quality Management System, managing complaints, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and service level agreement adherence.
- Assess business pipeline to plan workforce needs, capacity optimisation, and extension initiatives.
- Drive process automation, continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and global process harmonisation initiatives.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and cross functional collaboration across operations and project teams.
- Lead quality audits, client bid defence presentations, and mentor and develop multidisciplinary staff as a subject matter expert.
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or related field (required)
- 7+ years operations management experience in pharmaceuticals/clinical supplies
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK and EU GDP and GMP regulatory requirements, including controlled drug handling
- Demonstrated experience operating across global customs and trade compliance frameworks, including bonded regimes
- Proven hands on experience with secondary packaging and labeling operations, including GMP activities such as label layout management, master batch records, BOM, and assembly processes
- Strong experience working within Quality Management Systems (QMS) and managing system validation activities
- Proven experience in managing and implementing drug serialization processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (EU FMD/UK MHR/US DSCSA)
- High proficiency with ERP systems and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent leadership, people management, communication, and presentation skills, including experience leading multi site teams
- Strong understanding of global operational systems and compliance requirements within regulated pharmaceutical environments
