Design Analyst/Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Design Analyst/Structural Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary engineering team in delivering high-quality, technically robust projects. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you'll be responsible for carrying out and reviewing design analyses to ensure solutions meet performance, safety, and quality standards while remaining on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and review structural and mechanical design analyses using hand calculations and finite element (FE) methods.
• Work alongside design engineers to develop fit-for-purpose, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and check design analysis documentation to support project delivery.
• Act as the internal focal point for design analysis activities, including subcontracted work.
• Influence design decisions early in the process to optimise manufacturability and integrity.
• Provide technical input to project planning and scheduling.
• Mentor and support engineers undertaking design and analysis tasks.
• Contribute to standardising analysis methods and best practices across the engineering function.
• Support continuous improvement and effective change management processes.

About You:

• Proven experience in structural or mechanical design analysis, ideally in a regulated engineering environment.
• Skilled in hand calculations and FE analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and supporting professional development.
