Senior Strategy Manager

PHSO is an independent national ombudsman service. We make final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England, UK government departments, and some other public organisations. We do this fairly and without taking sides. Our service is free.

This is an exciting time to join PHSO as we prepare to implement our new Corporate Strategy from 1 April 2022 onwards. The Senior Strategy Manager role is a pivotal, newly created position to help deliver this strategy.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and analytical Senior Strategy Manager who can play a key role in PHSO's future development.

The successful candidate will oversee the new strategy function, lead evidence-based solutions to key cross-organisational strategic challenges, and provide strategic analysis and problem-solving. They will examine evidence, break down policy problems into clear project work streams, and lead on the development of corporate strategy.

They will work closely with the Business Management team to translate strategy into actionable business plans, managing a Strategy Adviser and matrix-managing colleagues across the organisation to ensure engagement in strategy projects.

The role involves leading strategic projects, problem-solving, and overseeing PHSO's strategy function and team.
