To support Studios Production's leadership team in the development and execution of BBC Studios growth ambitions, ensuring BBCS Productions is set up to deliver against the growth strategy and planning requirements for global BBCS productions.
Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesSpecific Role responsibilities:
- Is accountable for the performance and delivery of specific project work, with autonomy to deliver the work with minimum supervision and when required.
- Provide in-depth research and analysis, from internal and external sources where appropriate, of financial, output, audience, scheduling, competitor, regulatory and operational considerations. Use qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.
- Keep up to date with developments in broadcast media and related sectors. Develop strategies capable of managing the threats and opportunities that such developments represent.
- Analyse, model, and evaluate key growth initiatives across the production division and how they deliver on out of plan period growth.
- Support on Benchmarking annual market share and competitive landscapes.
- Collaborate across all content genres to understand and articulate each production's vision, translating it into compelling strategies for social media and digital platforms that align with Pan Studios' broader digital growth objectives.
- Support genre teams in identifying and developing new growth opportunities, with a focus on expanding into adjacent genres and emerging media formats.
- As needed, prepare presentations, reports, and strategic analysis for Senior Management.
- Present reviews and recommendations to senior stakeholders, verbally or in writing, as required.
- Ensure that such presentations are effective and persuasive through the use of a variety of techniques, for example, by using computer graphics to represent the findings of research.
- In agreement with Heads of Strategy or Director of Strategy, guide projects or modules shaping the production and genre group-level plans.
- Facilitate or manage ad-hoc project teams of senior stakeholders, ensuring that strategic issues are considered by such teams.
- Provide strategic and strategic finance assistance to senior management to enable the BBC Studios production division to maximize commercial growth.
- Build effective working relationships to produce joint recommendations with colleagues on strategic issues and new initiatives.
- Appreciation of the international and new media markets.
- Demonstratable experience of building dynamic strategic financial modelling.
- Present complex information in a simple view for wide ranging stakeholders.
- High quality and detailed analytics with ease.
- Substantial experience of data review including financial, budgeting and statistical data, with a good knowledge of relevant tools and methodologies.
- Able to anticipate the challenges and opportunities that arise from professional, legal, technological and marketplace changes and translate these into coherent strategy.
