What you will do

• Architect and scale backend systems using Python and Rust to handle massive volumes of unstructured and structured data for global enterprise customers.
• Optimize data persistence and retrieval layers leveraging PostgreSQL and column-oriented systems like Clickhouse to ensure lightning-fast query performance at scale.
• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, including monitoring and measuring user impact, while collaborating within a lean, high-autonomy engineering group.

The ideal candidate

• Proven experience building and maintaining high-performance distributed systems from scratch with a deep understanding of reliability and performance trade-offs.
• Strong technical proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and analytics engines (Clickhouse), with an interest in working across Python, Rust, and Kubernetes.
• A builder mindset with the ability to thrive in uncertain environments, solve problems from first principles, and effectively level up the engineers around them.
