Join us during an exciting phase! RWE Supply & Trading has recently launched a new cloud-based data analytics platform. We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Software Engineer to enhance our platform capabilities.

The Lead in Data (LiD) platform has transformed data management within our organization, supporting trading, analysis, and support functions. Data is a vital asset, and its importance will continue to grow.

You will leverage your expertise in C# and .NET to develop robust data services within the Mix system, focusing on security and technological resilience. Experience with AWS environments is highly desirable.

Your future responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET 8
• Implement data extraction and transformation logic within .NET frameworks
• Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and application logic as needed
• Enhance and maintain the Market Data API, collaborating with business teams on new requirements
• Build automated workflows and tools for data transformation and onboarding
• Create frameworks for efficient onboarding of data from various sources
• Work within a global team of Data and DevOps Engineers to deliver platform features
• Collaborate closely with IT functions, especially within Data (Market Data IT, Embedded IT, etc.)
• Design and oversee ETL processes for large, diverse datasets
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar
• Knowledge of API development and data onboarding with energy data providers
• Hands-on experience with AWS services like S3, Lambda, and EC2
• Manage data storage using relational databases such as MS SQL
• Translate business needs into technical designs and improve existing solutions
• Ensure operational robustness, high availability, security, and monitoring
• Excellent communication skills in English
