Overview

I have a new opportunity with a financial services client based in Galway. This is a permanent and hybrid opportunity with a requirement to be onsite 1 week per month (3 weeks fully remote).

Key skills

Java/Python, Spark & Big Data are the core skills the candidate needs.

Other skills
  • Proficient in Java and/or Python with strong object-oriented programming skills
  • Skilled in database systems like Snowflake and Oracle
  • Hands-on experience with Spark (Java/Scala) and AWS EMR for distributed data processing
  • Solid background in cloud infrastructure (AWS), including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Proven ability to build scalable, reliable ETL pipelines and design large-scale data platforms
  • Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Docker)
