Senior Site Manager

Overview

Senior Site Manager role in GE Vernova's Construction & Commissioning team, based in the United Kingdom. Leads construction and commissioning projects across the UK, focusing on safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire scope of site activities and manage execution teams to meet project objectives on time and within budget.
• Ensure consistent quality and performance across all construction and commissioning phases; serve as a best-practice resource for the team.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to solve complex operational challenges and optimize site workflows.
• Apply technical expertise to data-driven decision-making and problem-solving to improve project outcomes.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring site operations align with company policy and local regulations.
• Develop the team by mentoring, building consensus, and influencing key project outcomes.

Special Role Requirements

• Ability to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to lead diverse site teams through full project lifecycles.
• Strong analytical judgment to resolve moderately complex technical problems.
• Understanding of best practices in site management and construction project integration.
• Operational management experience within a project-based environment.

• Formal education in a relevant technical or engineering field is nice to have; total experience and achievements in site and project management are valued more.
