Senior Service Designer

A well-known council in London is looking to recruit a Senior Service Designer on a contract basis to start as soon as possible.

Aim of role - to provide service design expertise and enablement to platform teams and establish a design system for the council.

Key experience required:

• Deep experience in service design, discovery through delivery, and setting up design systems.
• Familiarity with GDS standards and designing for inclusion and accessibility.
• Able to coach teams on design thinking and embed user-centred approaches into BAU.
• Skilled at managing senior stakeholders - i.e. making user insights land with impact.
• Needs to be a patient educator and design evangelist, comfortable challenging "this is how we've always done it" mindsets but structured and methodical in turning these mindsets around
