Senior Security Engineer/onsite in Dublin

Excellent contract opportunity for a Senior Security Engineer to work full time, onsite in Dublin, Ireland.

The role:

Firewall Rules Review:

• Conduct reviews of Firewall rules to retain effective rules, remove ineffective ones, and perform a risk-gap analysis on the existing rule base.

Site-to-Site VPN Review:

• Review existing site-to-site VPN configurations and enhance their security settings to ensure robust encryption and authentication

Vulnerability Assessment:

• Review the existing inventory of network devices and their associated vulnerabilities, developing an action plan to address identified issues once central management in-infrastructure is introduced in 2026

Hardware Assessment:

• Evaluate the current inventory of network hardware, noting that a significant portion is end-of-life (EOL) and needs replacement with in-support hardware.

Software Assessment:

• Review the software running on Cisco Switches and Routers, identifying outdated ver-sions that require upgrading to the latest recommended software.

CIS Benchmarking:

• Assess the existing Firewall configuration against CIS benchmarks and recommend changes to enhance security and further harden the Firewall configuration.

Cisco ACI Segmentation:

• Collaborate with the IT and architecture team to implement network segmentation across ACI after the data center migration.
