Job Description
Senior Scientific Editor, Cell Genomics (Cell Press) 
Location: UK, Spain, Netherlands or China. Full time editorial position.
Responsibilities- Evaluating submissions rigorously against the journal's requirements.
- Support a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high standards.
- Build global networks and commission exciting papers within the scope of the journal.
- Work closely with the Cell Press editorial family, production and operation teams, business development and marketing teams to support cross journal initiatives.
- Represent Cell Genomics and Cell Press at conferences and public forums, showcasing the journal's impact and engaging with the broader scientific community.
- Travel to domestic and international conferences and visit research institutes to engage with researchers.
- Collaborate with editorial teams of relevant Cell Press journals.
- A Ph.D. in any area related to genomics or genetics.
- At least 5 years of editorial experience.
- Ability to think critically about a wide range of scientific issues.
- Interest in engaging with the scientific community.
- Talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them clearly.
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative problem solving mindset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance a range of priorities to achieve overall team goals.
- Ability to work well in diverse team settings.
- Interest in science communication and publishing trends.
