Senior Science Techician

Salary: £100 - 110 per day (Depending on experience)

Role: Senior Science Technician - Permanent Part time Location: Buckinghamshire Start Date: September 2026 Academics is seeking an experienced and organised Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in the Buckinghamshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Science Technician to play a key role in supporting the Science Department and ensuring the smooth delivery of practical lessons. As a Senior Science Technician, you will: Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and materials for Science lessons. Support teachers and students during practical experiments. Lead and coordinate the work of Science Technicians where required. Ensure laboratories and preparation areas are safe, organised, and fully stocked. Maintain accurate records of equipment, chemicals, and resources. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Senior Science Technician or Science Technician in a school setting. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and health and safety practices. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting Biology, Chemistry, and Physics practicals is desirable.
