We are Hiring SeniorRespiratory Physiologist for our Hospital client in Dublin.

Job type: Permanent / Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret advanced respiratory diagnostic tests, including spirometry, lung function testing, bronchial challenge testing, sleep studies, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
  • Provide high-quality respiratory physiology services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Analyze test results, prepare accurate reports, and communicate findings effectively to consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior physiologists, students, and other staff members, contributing to their training and professional development.
  • Ensure the maintenance, calibration, quality control, and safe operation of respiratory diagnostic equipment.
  • Participate in service development, clinical audits, research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and the implementation of best practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with hospital policies, professional guidelines, and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with respiratory consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and management.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and efficient delivery of respiratory physiology services within the department.
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and stay up to date with advancements in respiratory diagnostics and patient care.
Requirements
  • Possess a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ulster University, or an equivalent qualification.
  • OR possess an equivalent relevant Level 8 scientific qualification recognised by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
  • If qualified in or before 2005, possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from DIT or an equivalent IICMP-recognised Level 8 scientific qualification.
  • Hold IICMP registration or be in the process of obtaining registration.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in Respiratory Physiology and Sleep Physiology.
  • For Senior Grade positions, a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current IICMP registration or registration in progress for 2026.
