Salary

Salary: £14.90 per hour + £3,000 welcome bonus

Hourly Rate: £14.90 per hour + an additional £5.00 per hour where applicable

Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month

Employment Type: Permanent

Sleep-ins: Paid at £45 per sleep

Service: Children's Residential Home

Service Users: Children and young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce

Experience Required: Previous experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Residential Home

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established four bed children's home supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment where children are supported to overcome adversity, build resilience, and achieve positive long term outcomes.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for experienced, resilient and compassionate Senior Residential Care Workers who are passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will support the leadership team with the day to day running of the home, mentor Residential Support Workers, lead shifts, and ensure children receive safe, consistent and high quality care.

You will be confident managing challenging behaviours, building trusting relationships, promoting positive routines, and helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

Sponsorship is not available.

  • You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a car.
  • You only hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (this is not considered equivalent).
  • You require sponsorship or are currently on a visa requiring sponsorship.
  • You have only worked within Healthcare, NHS, CQC regulated services or Nurseries.

Individuals with only CQC experience and/or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
