Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: Swindon

Salary: £28,496 - £31,200 per annum

The Role

This children's home provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment where young people are supported to build confidence, develop life skills and prepare for adulthood.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

  • Develop positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Safeguard and promote their welfare at all times
  • Support young people who may require high levels of supervision
  • Lead shifts and provide guidance to Residential Support Workers
  • Contribute to staff supervision, rotas, risk assessments and care planning
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently
  • Support placement plans and encourage engagement with education

This is a key leadership position within the home, combining hands-on support with team guidance and operational responsibility.

About You
  • Aged 22 or over (in line with Ofsted regulations)
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare
  • Full manual driving licence
  • Confident leading shifts and supporting colleagues
