Grade C: £32,471 (National) or £38,143(London - for London office based or homebased workers within the boundary ofthe M25) - There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annumfor those working from home.
ContractedHours: Full-time opportunity - 37 hours per week.

Location: Home based. Office based- hybrid working can be considered (working 3 days in the office and 2 days aweek from home, if preferred). CQC's offices are in London, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham and Bristol.

In the last 12 months, asaSenior Regional Media and Communications OfficerintheEngagement Directorate, you would have:
Helped shape public understanding of health and social care by preparing press releases and statements that explain our inspection findings.
Supported inspectors and operations teams to confidently engage with the media and stakeholders during high-profile inspections.
Built strong relationships with NHS trusts, local authorities, and Healthwatch to ensure our messages reach the right people at the right time.
You'll play a key role inthe organisation by:
Writing clear, engaging content for press releases, internalbriefings, and reactive statements.
Managing regional media enquiries and making decisions about how torespond, including liaising with national teams.
Planning communications around inspection reports and enforcementactions.
Supporting stakeholder engagement and helping inspectors connectwith local communities.
Tracking media coverage and maintaining systems to monitorcommunications activity.

We're looking for:
Experience writing for different audiences- including pressreleases and reactive statements.
Confidence handling media enquiries- especially aroundsensitive or complex issues.
Strong organisational skills- able to manage deadlines andwork under pressure.
