Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a large-scale data centre project in Belgium. Our client is specifically looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with data centre or mission critical experience, who is comfortable working away from home on an international assignment. Candidates from across the EU with a track record on complex, fast track construction programmes are encouraged to apply. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will report to the Commercial Manager.

Role

• Take ownership of commercial management on the project, including cost control, budgeting and reporting.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payment applications, valuations and variations.
• Lead the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Support tender preparation, analysis and procurement of subcontractor packages.
• Liaise with the design team, client and subcontractors on all commercial matters.
• Mentor and support junior QS staff on the project.
• Monitor project cash flow, cost reporting and risk management.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Significant experience as a Senior QS with a main contractor
• Strong commercial and cost management skills, with a track record on large-scale projects
• EU citizenship or existing right to work in the EU
• Open to working away in Belgium on a rotation basis

Desirable

• Data centre or mission critical construction experience
• Experience working on international or overseas projects previously
