Senior Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Highways & Flood Alleviation (Civils)
Location: Surrey
Rate: £DOE (Outside IR35 available)
Duration: 1-2 years
Start: Immediate

• Look after all commercial matters on a multi-discipline civils scheme covering highways and flood alleviation packages
• Prepare and submit monthly valuations, applications for payment and cost reports
• Run subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, comparisons, orders and payments
• Manage change control, assessing and agreeing compensation events or variations
• Produce forecasts, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports
• Measure and value works, including remeasurement against the Bill of Quantities
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and the client team to keep the scheme commercially on track

• Proven QS experience on civil engineering schemes, ideally highways, flood defence or water infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (ECC Options A/C)
• Experience with CESMM and/or MMHW
• Confident with valuations, change management and subcontractor accounts
• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (MRICS/MICE desirable, not essential)
• Full UK driving licence
