Clancy is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its team in Dublin, the posting filed at the contractor's Sandyford office. The holder takes ownership of the commercial side of a major project in the Dublin region and works alongside the Managing Quantity Surveyor on it. The commercial duties are set out directly.
The holder carries responsibility for commercial management and reporting on the project, supports delivery by monitoring costs, budgets and financial performance, and prepares and reviews commercial documentation including valuations, claims and variations. Stakeholder relationships and clear communication across the project team also sit with the post, which is expected to work independently while staying close to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
The employer asks for eight to ten years as a quantity surveyor, preferably with a tier one or tier two Irish contractor on residential or large scale work, and a degree in quantity surveying or the equivalent. Strong commercial management and reporting skills are required, along with the usual quantity surveying software.
The posting names the work as permanent and full time, with the contractor describing its pipeline as residential and commercial and its projects as including complex brownfield developments. Alongside the salary the advert lists twenty one days of annual leave with bank holidays, a pension scheme and a company vehicle. The employer publishes a salary of 90,000 euro a year.
