Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client specializes in the fabrication and installation of Prefabricated Balcony Systems and Balustrade Systems. They offer locally produced units in Dublin to meet the rapid demand for apartment developments, and they are working with Irelands leading developers and building contractors.

Due to their ongoing success, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin. There is a clear path of progression to a Commercial Manager role which will be discussed at interview.

Duties:

• Prepare & present forecasts and targets
• Prepare & agree valuations, including generating certificates & invoice/payments.
• Variations prepare with adequate/appropriate records ,agree as works progress.
• Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking.
• Estimating and producing cost estimates and cost plans.
• Preparing detailed bills of quantities and measurement of construction.
• Checking and analysing tenders.
• Drafting tender reports.
• Dealing with variations and the change control processes.
• Conducting cost checks.
• Drafting monthly reports.
• Written reports for clients.
• Construction dispute resolution
• Insurance & warranties
• Risk/opportunity
• Review & update project risk/opportunity plan, monitoring for changes

Requirements:

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying
• Good communication & Negotiating skills
• To have strong analytical skills and ability to present findings.
• Strong Technical Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
• At least 5 years experience
• Ability to co-ordinate several different projects at the same time.
