Quantity Surveyor Job - Castlebar, Co. Mayo (3+ Years' Experience)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Mayo looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for a skilled QS professional to join a growing construction team in Castlebar, County Mayo. This is a full-time, permanent position with a strong local project pipeline and long-term career prospects.

This role is open to candidates from both main contractor and subcontractor backgrounds who have a minimum of 3 years' quantity surveying experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction project costs from early budgeting to final account

• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts

• Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers

• Assist in subcontractor procurement and tendering processes

• Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure commercial targets are met

• Provide monthly progress and financial reports to senior management

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor

• Background in main contracting or subcontracting environments

• Strong commercial and financial management skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation ability

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
