Senior Quantity Surveyor - Castlebar, Mayo (Local, Low Travel)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Mayo looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for a skilled QS professional to join a growing construction team in Castlebar, County Mayo. This is a full-time, permanent position with a strong local project pipeline and long-term career prospects.
This role is open to candidates from both main contractor and subcontractor backgrounds who have a minimum of 3 years' quantity surveying experience.
Key Responsibilities:Manage construction project costs from early budgeting to final account
Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts
Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers
Assist in subcontractor procurement and tendering processes
Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure commercial targets are met
Provide monthly progress and financial reports to senior management
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Background in main contracting or subcontracting environments
Strong commercial and financial management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation ability
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
Competitive salary based on experience
