We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Data Engineer with a strong automation testing background to join our technology team. In this role, you will drive testing efforts across our data quality products, define testing strategies, and act as a quality advocate throughout the engineering organization. You will work closely with engineering, product, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of complex data solutions while providing clear visibility into product quality, testing progress, and release readiness.

Key Responsibilities- Own end-to-end quality assurance activities across data platform.
- Define and execute test strategies covering data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
- Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, transformations, and business critical metrics across multiple data layers.
- Perform data reconciliation and identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
- Validate data ingestion processes and monitor the health and performance of cloud based data pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and data validation solutions.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Track, manage, and report defects, quality risks, and testing progress to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support release decisions and continuous quality improvements.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation testing.
- Hands on experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, or analytics platforms.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating large datasets and complex data transformations.
- Experience working with AWS based data platforms, including services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Athena, and CloudWatch.
- Experience building an automation framework from scratch using Python, TypeScript or a similar programming language.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and data quality principles.
- Experience validating structured and semi structured data formats such as JSON, CSV, and Parquet.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience with Jira, TestRail, or similar testing and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and reporting skills.
