We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.

Avista is looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.

Job Title

Children's Services, Dublin (Permanent Full Time, 35 Hours Per Week)

Qualifications
  • A recognised university degree or diploma with first or second class honours in Psychology as major subject and honours obtained in that subject.
  • A recognised post graduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology validated by the Department of Health.
  • At least 5 years post graduate experience as a professional psychologist, including no more than three years spent in gaining the post graduate professional qualification and no less than two years full time experience as a professional psychologist.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office, and an interest and experience in working with children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
  • Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualifications from the Department of Health.
  • A full clean driving licence and use of a car.
