Job Description

Your new firm

Our client is a progressive and ambitious UK law firm with a strong national presence and a reputation for innovation and collaboration. With offices across the Southwest and beyond, they combine deep local roots with a forward-thinking approach to legal services. As part of their continued investment in their Charities & Private Wealth Disputes team, they are now seeking a talented Senior Property Litigation Lawyer to join their highly regarded practice, based in Exeter, Bristol or Plymouth.

Your new role

You will be joining a multidisciplinary team that is widely recognised for its work with some of the UK's leading charities. The team has won multiple awards for its contribution to the Legacy sector and is known for its expertise in resolving complex property disputes. In this role, you will lead on a broad range of property litigation matters including lease disputes, rent reviews, possession proceedings, boundary issues, and third-party rights. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting the wider team in delivering strategic advice that helps charitable organisations protect and preserve their property assets.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced property litigation lawyer with at least 8 years PQE and a strong technical background in handling a wide range of property disputes. While prior experience advising charities is highly desirable, it is not essential-what matters most is a genuine interest in the sector and a commitment to making a difference. Experience in probate-related litigation would also be beneficial. You'll be a confident communicator with a collaborative mindset, capable of building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm that is serious about growth, innovation, and making a positive impact. You'll benefit from a supportive and inclusive culture, excellent work-life balance, and a modern, flexible working environment. The firm offers a competitive salary, performance-linked bonus, enhanced parental leave, private healthcare, and a comprehensive wellbeing programme.Whether you're already based in the Southwest or considering a move to the region, this role offers the chance to work with a market-leading team in a firm that values its people and its purpose.

What you need to do now

If you're interested in this role or would like more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch. If this job isn't quite right for you, but you're exploring new opportunities, we'd be happy to have a confidential conversation about your career. We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
