As a Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of large and complex projects and programmes typically up to the value of £8m. You will lead a defined set of clients and all the projects within that client's account, ensuring client satisfaction, and that projects are delivered in adherence to company and GDS quality assurance requirements.
Day to Day Responsibilities- Accountable for the delivery of government projects up to £8m, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and maintaining a high standard of work.
- Communicate with senior management to ensure the commercial management of the account.
- Ensure the project adheres to GDS standards and best practice.
- Oversee overall performance of project delivery, ensuring the quality of all deliverables and compliance.
- Ensure submitted work meets required company and GDS quality standards and promptly address any concerns.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams of up to 12 people.
- Detailed understanding of CDDO assessments and stage gates; previous end to end delivery experience is essential.
- Successfully taken a UK Government Agency through at least three assessments, ideally through Alpha and Beta phase assessments.
- Demonstrable experience managing large scale programmes/projects across a range of Central Government Agencies.
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels and clear communication skills.
- SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework (or other) agile experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of GDS service standards and the Government Digital Delivery framework.
