Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Lead to spearhead a landmark high-rise steel frame office block development valued at over £70 million, located north of Bristol. This prestigious scheme is set to commence in Q1 2026, with early onboarding opportunities for the successful candidate to engage in pre-construction activities and build a high-performing construction team.

Role Overview

As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage the construction team, and oversee all aspects of this high-profile development, ensuring its success as a landmark scheme in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project through all phases, including pre-construction, construction, and handover.

  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.

  • Build and lead a high-performing construction team tailored to the project's needs.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Manage risks, resolve issues, and maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and the client.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: Substantial experience in managing steel frame construction projects, with a strong preference for high-rise office block developments.

  • Tenure: Demonstrable long-term tenure with previous employers, showcasing loyalty and stability.

  • Skills: Proven leadership, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction, project management, SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of steel frame construction techniques and high-rise building regulations.

  • Desirable: Experience in pre-construction planning and team-building for large-scale projects.
