Senior Project Engineer

A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major scheme in the Midlands. Working on a high-profile infrastructure project, you will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, managing site teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Your new role

• Managing engineering teams and supporting project delivery on site
• Coordinating construction activities with operations, commercial and planning teams
• Reviewing and implementing construction methodologies and temporary works requirements
• Ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures, ITPs and project specifications
• Managing subcontractors and resolving technical issues as they arise
• Supporting programme delivery and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits and engineering documentation
• Liaising with the client, stakeholders and wider project team

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer, Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on major infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of highways, rail or heavy civil engineering works
• Experience managing site engineering teams and subcontractors
• Knowledge of temporary works, quality management and construction methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• CSCS card essential
• SMSTS preferred
