Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking to recruit a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to join our Middlesbrough team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager seeking their next challenge, or a Senior Project Engineer looking to progress into a project management role within a supportive and highly respected engineeringorganisation.
You will work alongside our multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, leading projects from concept through to completion whilstmaintainingthehighest standards of safety, quality, costcontroland client satisfaction.
The Role
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring objectives are met safely, efficiently and commercially.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules and budgets.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project activities.
- Maintain project controls, monitoring progress against scope, cost and programme.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Support commercial management, change control and reporting activities.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation.
- Support business development activities, proposals and tender submissions where required.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the process industries, including sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy or similar.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules and resources.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across all project functions.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer in the UK onshore Process Sector.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.
- Experience managing design engineering and construction activities.
- Professional membership or working towards chartership is desirable.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and process industry standards.
