Job Description
About the job: As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer at Ethos Engineering, you will work within Data Centre sector. Have a thorough grasp of electrical design and engineering techniques. With a confidence in working independently and in support of the team, ensuring successful completion of designs to meet construction timelines and requirements.
About you- Honours Degree - Chartered an advantage but not essential
- 10+ years as a Senior Engineer
- Must have electrical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projects
- In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
- Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
- Working knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantage
- Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completion
- Communicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
- Manage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projects
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
- Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
- Produce detailed schematics
- Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation
- Mentor junior engineering staff
- Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
- Tender report/analysis/recommendations
- Develop project scope with the design team/client
- Confidently use Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT
- Produce budgets and reports for clients
- Attend site visits
- Take lead on projects with minimal input from the management team
