Job Description
Overview

Senior Program Manager, JP Network Planning - AMZL. This role leads the long-term design, planning and monitoring of Amazon's last mile delivery network in Japan, supporting geography and services expansion and aiming to deliver products on time at the lowest cost.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design the short-, mid-, and long-term network and develop plans to support geographical and services expansion of the Amazon delivery network in Japan, in line with strategic goals.
  • Anticipate future capacity needs and define how to re-organize the network to meet customers' demand.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the Amazon transportation network, balancing delivery accuracy, speed and cost.
  • Provide reports and analyses through tools, portals and databases (Redshift, SQL, Excel, and/or other data management systems) to allow full visibility of both the plan and our execution against it.
  • Leverage in-house tools and internal data to perform simulation analysis and assess network behavior under different scenarios.
  • Deep dive on issues to drive short-term network fixes and long-term improvements.
  • Automate dashboards to create a single source of data sets for network improvements and optimizations.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders and be an expert of using in-house tools.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
