Job Description
Role overview 
The Senior Product Manager will lead one complex product or a group of related products, taking responsibility for product quality, value and outcomes. The role guides teams through the product life cycle and uses evidence to prioritise the work that delivers the greatest impact. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across data, AI, software engineering, product, QA and delivery to create practical outcomes for clients and end users.
Key responsibilities- Set product vision, strategy and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders, users and delivery teams.
- Lead prioritisation across product backlogs, balancing user value, business value, risk and delivery capacity.
- Use user research, analytics, performance data and market insight to make evidence-based product decisions.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality increments and continuously improve products.
- Define and track product outcomes, KPIs and benefits, using data to guide change or continued investment.
- Manage or mentor associate product managers and product managers where required.
- Strong experience managing digital products through discovery, delivery and continuous improvement.
- Ability to create product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised plans that stakeholders understand and support.
- Good understanding of Agile and Lean practices, user-centred design and product life cycle management.
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative insight to make prioritisation and roadmap decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to coach team members and represent product management in senior discussions.
- Experience writing or contributing to business cases and value propositions.
- Experience with digital analytics, experimentation, service standards or performance measurement.
- Experience in client-facing, public-sector or high-risk product environments.
- The product roadmap is evidence-based, realistic and focused on outcomes.
- The team understands priorities and delivers value incrementally.
- Product decisions are transparent, measurable and aligned to user and business needs.
