Job Description
- Provide strategic business-facing leadership and advisory support across product portfolio development, launch, governance, and ongoing management
- Assess and mitigate economic crime risks throughout the product lifecycle
- Ensure new products and services meet regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements before approval and implementation
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate emerging risks and define controls
- Support robust product governance frameworks
- Collaborate with Journey Labs and customer journey teams to design and embed economic crime controls
- Lead remediation initiatives to strengthen controls and address identified gaps
- Maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the product set in line with business objectives and regulatory expectations
- Advise key stakeholders, functional leadership teams, and senior management
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment and strengthen controls
- Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams
- Drive strategic projects and outcomes across complex cross-functional environments
- Demonstrated people leadership experience
- Extensive first-line Economic Crime experience
- Expertise identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risks across business operations and products
- Considerable product management experience across the product lifecycle
- Ability to advise and challenge on Business Banking products
- Proven Financial Services sector experience
- Understanding of Business Banking products, customers, and associated risk frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK financial crime legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Exceptional influencing and execution capabilities
- Experience driving outcomes and delivering strategic projects across complex cross-functional environments
- Recognised financial crime qualification such as ICA AML Diploma, ACAMS, or equivalent (highly valued)
- Skills may be assessed across risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills
Demonstrates expertise in Economic Crime risk management and product governance, with a strong focus on compliance and regulatory requirements within the Financial Services sector. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive strategic initiatives across complex cross-functional environments.
