The role
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Procurement and Supply Chain function is currently undergoing a transformation which will enable the successful candidate to become part of, and shape, a best-in-class function.

Day-to-day, you'll work with the business development and bid teams to ensure that effective supply chain strategies are considered and included in all significant bids, shaping the solutions which will grow our Land Sector in the UK and overseas.

You'll also:

Identify the most appropriate supply chain to deliver the capability required to support new business opportunities.
Assist in the production of an 'Opportunity Analysis' by reviewing the Business Unit's bid pipeline to identify bids with a material supply chain element and lead governance reviews with multifunctional business
Establish relationships and lead engagements with key strategic partners to support business growth
Support the development of proposals and tenders and participate in any subsequent supply chain-related customer dialogue where appropriate
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Sector, working as an integral part of bid teams to ensure alignment with sector and business unit (BU) bid strategies.

Please note that this position may involve travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. Travel to other sites may be required from time to time.

Essential experience of the Senior Procurement Manager

Significant experience in procurement & supply chain management
Proven experience in a strategic procurement category management role
Proven experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, automotive, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) or other relevant industry
Proven track record in the design and delivery of innovative supply chains across a variety of direct spend areas
Strong commercial business acumen with proven wide experience of a variety of contract forms, including drafting and negotiation

Qualifications for the Senior Procurement Manager
We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. However, a Full UK Driving Licence is required

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
