Job Description

We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for a senior process engineer passionate about working on innovative solutions to tackle the climate emergency. We seek a candidate with experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, gas processing, energy generation, or Carbon Capture Storage. Join our team and help us capture the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and support of process plants, including pilot and large-scale plant delivery.
  • Collaborate with the process team to develop design and operational philosophies.
  • Develop and ensure the accuracy of detailed calculations, datasheets, and drawings to specify process engineering requirements.
  • Execute process engineering deliverables and review vendor documentation.
  • Support process studies, FEEDs, and EPC projects.
  • Conduct process modeling and simulation.
  • Create BFDs, PFDs, and perform heat & material balances.
  • Develop MSD and material selection philosophies.
  • Size and specify process equipment, including vessels, separators, scrubbers, packed columns, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, PSV, and others.
  • Perform mechanical calculations for process equipment.
  • Ensure safety standards are met, contributing to HAZOPS, LOPA, and safety reviews.
  • Develop process and utility P&IDs, including design conditions and hydraulic analysis.
  • Size and specify inline instrumentation and control valves.
  • Summarize utilities and chemicals consumption.
  • Review engineering deliverables and vendor data; liaise with external agencies.
  • Develop design tools and participate in standardization activities.
  • Support commercial proposals for new opportunities.
  • Oversee multiple project activities, ensuring they stay on track.
  • Communicate effectively, report progress, and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Travel as required for various assignments.
  • Report to the Engineering Manager on progress and performance.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-15 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven process engineering design experience emphasizing safety and environmental considerations.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD P&ID; experience with HYSYS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dynamic gas separation, CO2 removal systems, and gas processing is highly desirable.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to meet project and company objectives.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment requiring flexibility.
