• Salary: £15.50ph
• Location: Barrow In Furness
• Qualification: Level 3 Childcare
• Babies (under twos)

Main Purpose of Job

Provide high quality flexible childcare for families from the local communities. Support the practitioners and colleague in a smooth running of the group to the highest standards. This role is focused on the 2-4 year old room.

Responsible for

Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Apprentices. Works alongside with Early Years Lead and SENCO

Reports to

Nursery Manager, Director

Main Responsibilities

• Lunch cover
• Job rota for daily tasks
• Arrange home visits with management
• Early Years Clusters if needed
• Support supervisions termly with management
• Support with staff meetings/ weekly morning meeting
• Identify training needs/ conduct training if possible
• Focus sheets review weekly
• Check/ enhance / maintain learning environment. Champion system
• Check with staff for provocations if necessary/ appropriate
• Accommodate school transitions with Early Years lead
• Peer observations
• Buddy board checks
• Transitions
• Planning in the moment Officer of the room
• Makaton officer with SENCO
• Key worker /children allocations with management
• Room moves famly termly with management
• Check accident forms
• Enter medication forms

Nursery Practitioner

• Level 3 in Childcare
• Full time / Part time 27 - 36 hours (3-4 days per week)
• £14.00ph
