Senior Platform Manager Workplace

Overview
The Senior Platform Manager Workplace is responsible for the design, delivery, operation and performance of Workplace and End User Computing services. This role owns availability, resilience and service quality across digital workplace platforms and leads supplier delivery in a complex multi vendor environment.

The post sits within IT Platforms and Operations and provides technical leadership across end user compute, digital workspace and meeting room technologies, ensuring services meet business needs, security requirements and agreed service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design, operation and performance of Workplace and EUC platforms

  • Lead delivery and ongoing improvement of end user compute, digital workspace and meeting room services

  • Ensure availability, resilience and service quality of critical workplace services

  • Provide technical leadership across Workplace and Infrastructure services

  • Manage and direct suppliers delivering workplace and infrastructure capability

  • Ensure suppliers meet agreed SLAs, KPIs and performance targets

  • Oversee planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new workplace technologies

  • Anticipate, investigate and resolve service and system issues

  • Define platform objectives, roadmaps and operating processes with suppliers

  • Balance business outcomes, cost control and supplier performance

  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation

  • Ensure services meet security, compliance and quality standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong background in Workplace or EUC platform management

  • Experience leading IT infrastructure or workplace services in complex environments

  • Proven supplier and vendor management experience

  • Strong understanding of cloud, end user compute and digital workplace technologies

  • Experience operating within multi supplier delivery models

  • Strong service management and IT operations capability

  • Ability to lead technical teams and external partners

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Knowledge

  • IT infrastructure and end user computing technologies

  • Technology service management and IT operations

  • Cloud platforms and modern workplace services

  • Delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall

  • Technology supplier landscape and service improvement models
