Senior platform engineer CICD Team

The CICD team is a dynamic team dedicated to providing a self-service platform that empowers developers with standardized CI/CD templates, application templates, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) templates. Their mission is to streamline development processes, ensuring security, performance, and efficiency.

As a platform engineer within the CICD team your Key responsibilities are:

• Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain a self-service platform with standardized CI/CD templates, application templates, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) templates.
• Backstage Management: Manage Backstage as the central portal for all templates, automation, and paved paths, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
• CI/CD Integration: Ensure security and performance tooling is integrated into CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the overall quality and reliability of the software delivery process.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Cloud & Infrastructure team to provide cloud-ready infrastructure templates, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
• Automation & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, driving efficiency and reducing manual intervention in the development life cycle.
• Documentation & Support: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform tools and processes, providing support and guidance to development teams.

Your profile as a platform engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, application templates, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Technical expertise with DevOps tools (Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in integrating security and performance tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Backstage or similar developer portals is an advantage.
• Experience in a large telco or telecom environment is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
