OverviewSenior Platform Engineer role within the National Security & Government business unit, based in London with hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Grade GG10 - GG11, with a referral bonus of £5,000.
Responsibilities- Collaboratively designing and building Proof of Concept or Production systems
- Source controlling code with Version Control Systems (e.g. Git, Mercurial, Perforce)
- Utilising CI/CD tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket) to streamline delivery of new features and fixes
- Continual testing of code using Automated Testing Frameworks
- Ensuring code consistency and quality by utilising static code analysis tools (e.g. SonarQube)
- Working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Lean, Kanban) with common software design patterns
- Using precedent and creativity to solve client challenges
- Programming in one or more of JavaScript, Java, .NET, Python
- Experience designing and building PoC or Production systems
- Source control with Git, Mercurial, or Perforce
- CI/CD tool experience (Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket)
- Automated testing frameworks
- Static code analysis tools such as SonarQube
- Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
- Common software design patterns
- Ability to apply creativity to client challenges
It would be great if you also have experience in some of these, but if not we'll help you with them
- Machine Learning software (e.g. AWS, Azure ML, Google TensorFlow)
- Deploying and managing in cloud computing (AWS, MS Azure)
- Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Relational, document, or graph databases
- Software configuration and deployment (Ansible)
