Job Description: As a Senior Photonics Design Engineer, you will be crucial in developing active photonic switches for large-scale deployment. You'll design, simulate, and optimize Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), driving innovation in next-generation optical interconnects. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-performance photonic systems from concept to production, collaborating with cross functional teams.

What you will do:

• Design and model passive and active silicon photonic devices and integrated systems
• Prototype novel photonic components, design test structures, and validate experimental results
• Partner with manufacturing teams to optimise and transition designs into volume production

The ideal candidate:

• Master's degree in physics, photonics, electrical, or optical engineering with 5+ years of experience
• Strong understanding of waveguide optics, integrated photonic devices, and semiconductor physics
• Experience in modelling and simulating integrated photonic devices using commercial software
