Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Senior Payroll Coordinator for a temporary project of 5 to 6 months to support payroll and HR systems for the Spanish market. This is a short-term assignment with full ownership of payroll processes and coordination with local and international teams.


The position is based in Barcelona (hybrid work model) and offers a gross annual salary between €44,000 and €45,000.


This is a hands-on and strategic role within the HR department, ideal for a payroll professional available for a limited-duration project who wants to contribute in a dynamic, structured, and international environment.


Main responsibilities:


  • Manage the full monthly payroll cycle in coordination with external providers
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll data from store operations
  • Oversee benefit administration and employee-related changes
  • Maintain and update time and attendance systems
  • Support audits, reporting and compliance with Spanish labor regulations
  • Collaborate with EU payroll, HRIS and accounting teams
  • Provide training and support to managers on payroll and HR systems


Profile:


  • 5-7 years of experience in payroll, HR administration and/or HRIS
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law and payroll regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Fluent in English (B2-C1 level)
  • Experience in retail or similar environments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and team spirit
